About us
The House of Energy sees itself as a think tank supported by business, science and the Hessian state government. We advance the energy transition holistically and combine knowledge from business, science and politics.
Initiating projects with our members and partners, supporting them and carrying out events and further training are our main tasks.
Various series of events strengthen networking and knowledge transfer between the House of Energy partners.

Mission
Memberships
As one of 70 members, the House of Energy supports the state of Hesse as a partner of the CO₂-neutral state administration. The CO₂-neutral state administration is part of Hesse's sustainability strategy. The learning network of this initiative is a platform for constructive exchange between state authorities, companies, municipalities, clubs and associations in order to achieve mutual added value and promote an effective and efficient energy transition.
The common goals of the learning network partners are: to exploit potential for energy savings and increasing energy efficiency, to promote the use of renewable energies and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The implementation of the initiative is accompanied by the so-called steering committee, whose first project – to provide content orientation – was the development of a charter for sustainable business.
The House of Energy is pleased to be one of over 100 charter signatories, along with many associated Hessian companies and startups. Some larger and international players such as the Viessmann Group in Allendorf and ENTEGA AG in Darmstadt are also already involved.
Subsidies
The House of Energy eV, based in Kassel, is a Hessian innovation cluster that is supported by business, science and research institutions as well as the Hessian state government. It works in a transdisciplinary manner and supports the energy transition in Hesse. As a competence center, communication, coordination and knowledge transfer platform, the House of Energy initiates and supports pioneering projects with a technological focus.
As part of the funded project “Promoting the operation of the innovation cluster House of Energy e.V.”, knowledge transfer takes place within the network, but also out of the network into business, research and politics. The joint development of R&D projects with members on the subject of energy increases the knowledge gained. All activities are accompanied by marketing measures to establish the House of Energy beyond the Hesse borders.
