Projects
We initiate application-related R&D projects with our members and partners.
Our support extends from the application through coordination to
Moderation and public relations.
Projects
Projects with us are carried out in cooperation with various partners and the House of Energy is involved financially and operationally. They are supported in different ways.
Projects of the Innovation Funding are applied for through the House of Energy and funded by the state of Hesse. These are smaller and shorter projects on innovative energy technologies.
- Projects with us
The genesis 3 project supports Hessian startups and scaleups in the field of Green Energy.
- Projects with us
The project identifies technical, economic, regulatory and organizational success factors for micro-heating networks and prepares them in modular concepts that provide practical assistance in the planning and implementation of micro-heating networks.
- Projects with us
The SGLive project focuses on the digitalization of distribution networks and combines the expertise of three partners. It builds upon the predecessor project "Smart Grid LAB Hessen." The existing laboratory is being expanded by Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences to include active and secure control methods as well as resilient operating concepts. A particular focus is on the development of a cybersecurity architecture. The concepts and methods will then be implemented and evaluated in the laboratory.
- Projects with us
The genesis project supports Hessian people interested in starting a business and startups in the green energy sector.
- Innovation Funding
The project compiles key methodological developments from current research projects into a toolbox for conducting regional multimodal distribution network studies for a fully climate-neutral energy supply system. The methods will be demonstrated using an exemplary distribution network area.
- Projects with us
At the initiative of the House of Energy, the two highly innovative Hessian SMEs Ingenieurbüro Pfeffer Energie- und Bauleistungen GmbH and M&L Smarter Solutions AG are working on the new digitalization solution for the design, operation, management and marketing of future electrical distribution networks.
- Projects with us
The Interreg project DISCO focuses on the topic of waste heat utilization. Knowledge and experiences from various European regions are exchanged within the project. The goal of Interreg Europe projects is to improve regional policy instruments based on this exchange.
- Projects with us
The ECOBoost project aims to help small and micro-enterprises (MSEs) in the accommodation and catering sector overcome barriers to increasing their energy efficiency by developing an Energy Transition Navigator (ETN). To this end, project partners from five European countries are collaborating in seven pilot regions. The consortium is working with the respective regional networks and pilot companies to develop best practices, action plans, and support measures that will facilitate the long-term implementation of energy efficiency measures in the companies, even beyond the pilot regions.
- Projects with us
The project aims to develop energy management system solutions in business parks where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) invest jointly to increase energy efficiency and the consumption of renewable energy and to reduce grid congestion.
- Projects with us
The project will build a mobile carbonate looping (CaL) pilot plant to capture CO₂ from exhaust gases from various industrial plants and deploy it at five different sites of energy-intensive industries.
- Projects with us
The genesis project supports Hessian people interested in starting a business and startups in the green energy sector.
- Innovation Funding
The project aims to evaluate the potential of GWP in order to flexibly provide reserve capacities for the electricity transmission network. Through intelligent control, heat pumps can contribute to the stability of the electricity grid by storing thermal energy and thus support the further expansion of renewable electricity sources.
- Innovation Funding
The project investigated interactions between DRP and customer-supplier relationships as well as inventory management in supply chains in order to identify potential benefits of DRP in supply chains and to derive recommendations for action in practice.
- Projects with us
The aim of the “LESS is more” project was to support the sustainable thinking and actions of Kassel residents with an app developed for this purpose and to integrate regional climate protection projects.
- Projects with us
A project to develop concepts for building a needs-based combined parking and charging infrastructure in urban areas and especially in parking garages.
- Innovation Funding
The project is intended to improve the concept of cold local heating and make it more generally accessible. The main components of the project are the design, simulation and an online tool for innovative system variants.
- Projects with us
The STEPS project focused on energy storage and energy systems in North West Europe (NWE). Research and industry partners from various countries strengthened the innovation performance and competitiveness of new storage providers in NWE.
- Projects with us
Using a holistic approach, the project creates more security for infrastructure operators in the energy supply and achieves the greatest possible resistance to attacks from outside. Based on the security needs, legal rules are examined taking into account the legal framework and the need for regulation.
- Projects with us
Development of a self-adaptive management system for charging electric vehicles using artificial intelligence.
- Projects with us
The project took place as part of the HyLand competition – Hydrogen Regions in Germany, in which Northern Hesse was selected as a HyExpert region to create an implementable overall concept.
- Projects with us
Using the example of the Kassel university campus “Holländischer Platz”, the project investigated how the transformation towards a largely climate-neutral university campus can be achieved by 2030.
- Projects with us
A real-world laboratory has been built to test active control methods in the intelligent power grid and all required functionalities under practical conditions.
- Projects with us
Development and evaluation of innovative energy supply systems using the example of the new building at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology in Kassel
- Projects with us
The Interreg Europe projects promote the exchange of experience between participating regions in the EU with the aim of optimising the topic-related use of regional funding. In the SMEPlus project, funding instruments were to be used to increase energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Innovation Funding
The project was intended to develop economic principles for climate-friendly and sustainable operation of data centers, particularly with regard to options for waste heat utilization.
- Innovation Funding
The project aims to adapt processing speeds in machine occupancy planning to improve the effectiveness of demand response programs.
- Projects with us
Based on evaluations of the scenario analyses, recommendations for action were derived for building users, planners and decision-makers at various levels in politics and business.
- Projects with us
Setting up a real-world laboratory for electromobility to gain valuable insights into charging behavior and requirements for network expansion for the optimal development of the electricity network of the future.
- Innovation Funding
A concept was developed as to how the material recycling of biogenic residues and non-recyclable plastic waste can be integrated into the Hessian energy system.
- Projects with us
Conception and model implementation of a regional flexibility market. As a prototype, this ensures the system integration of the powerful and fluctuating range of renewable energies at a decentralized level.
- Projects with us
Development of a model for an energy supply in northern Hesse based 100% on renewable energies.
